Spanish manufacturer CIPSA Circuits to invest US$ 15 million in India

Along with IT and Biotech, Bangalore has also attracted investments in the manufacturing sector. Major Spanish manufacturer CIPSA Circuits, plans to invest close to US$ 15 million in India in phases. Headquartered in Barcelona CIPSA is one of the largest manufacturers of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) in the world. Mr. Anil Gupta and Mr. Alok Garg, together with CIPSA have formed a new venture CIPSA-RIC India (P) Ltd. The company has identified KIADB land in Dodhballapur Industrial area near the upcoming Devanhalli International Airport for phase ONE of their project.
 
A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dodhballapur is being planned with a project cost of approx. rupees Twelve Crores. The initial investment of US$ 2 million has already been made in setting the plant & machinery. The new facility will house over 400 people and will have a sizeable capacity to manufacture a variety of PCBs. The plant is expected to start the trial production by the beginning of April 2006, subject to all necessary Government approvals.
