When you watch movies about space, everything is spectacular. The views are spectacular, the astronauts are spectacularly good looking, and the deaths are spectacular. in reality, though, space won’t kill you in some over-the-top fashion––it’s more of a boring killer. Chris Hadfield, real life astronaut, almost died when some chemicals got into his eyes and blinded him. During a spacewalk. Which is…bad.
Moreover, everything you do in space has to be carefully thought out. Need to clip your nails? You have to think it through, otherwise your nail clippings will float into someone’s eye. So you do it by an air vent, where it’ll get sucked out into space.
